Offset SudokuWelcome to the Offset Sudoku section of the Puzzle Club. Offset sudoku is one of the rarer variants of Sudoku. This variant introduces nine extra regions to the standard sudoku puzzle which stipulates that each row, column and 3 x 3 box must contain 1 - 9 once only. In addition in offset sudoku, the first number in all nine puzzles must also be unique, and so on for the second, third... ninth numbers in each box. So, if the first number (top left) in box one is '2' we know that the first number in the other eight boxes cannot be '2'. If the ninth number (bottom right) in box nine is an '8', we know that the ninth number in the other eight boxes cannot be '8' and so on. The extra regions make this a particularly tricky puzzle to solve, but it can be very satisfying once you do!
